Debian on Lenovo s10e

Summary

It just works (if you download the Broadcom driver from their website).

Hardware

Excellent piece of hardware, extremely well built. Proper wireless (albeit requiring a binary piece to work), Bluetooth, expresscard slot, big hardrive, plenty of RAM and a reasonable battery.

My only complaint about the hardware so far is that the keyboard layout needs some level of getting accustomed to under Unixes because the "|" symbol requires a Fn-Shift to access it as it is a Fn/Shift of Z. The Fn, Shift and the Z are all spaced together so this is not particularly inconvinient .

Software

I run KDE so evolution showed some consistent and stubborned disobedience in setting suitable fonts for the display (not that it is particularly obedient under Gnome either). I finally fixed it by editing its fonts preferences by hand and chmod-ing them to -w.
